Also, this woman is my hero. Don't get me wrong, I don't support animal abuse - far from it, as well-cared-for animals are vastly more delicious - but some day I'd like to become a crazy cat guy, which is, of course, the male equivalent of the crazy cat lady. And though she didn't die and leave her 4.7 million dollar fortune to the cats, she's still my hero because she dramatically exceeds every other qualification for a crazy cat lady. Then, finally, I saw this article. Though the contents are fairly mundane, the headline is just awesome. I'm thinking: feral combat hamster. From Ohio. |
| Nilla August 16, 2005 02:28 PM PDT The cats thing is Sad. However.... the "Hambo" pic from Anthony had me laughing for about five minutes! Also wondering how on earth they figured out it was the hamster in the first place. Weird. | ||
| Alyred August 9, 2005 10:58 AM PDT *I* certainly would have realized it... and then corrected my mistake. If you're going to send cats, send a dozen at once. Anything less is impolite. | ||
| Katriana August 3, 2005 02:05 PM PDT What is wrong with people? Seriously. Who wouldn't notice 5 kittens in a box before sealing it? And who the fuck wants 300 cats? | ||
| Alyred August 2, 2005 08:31 AM PDT No comment on the insinuation that this is one of my experiments escaped and wreaking havoc on the population. | ||
| Sinister Ninja August 1, 2005 12:57 PM PDT Has anyone seen my hamster? | ||
| RaccoonBacon August 1, 2005 12:25 PM PDT Putting kitties to sleep is always sad, unless it was a little bastard of a cat. I think owning 3+ cats is too many, since two cats alone can make your house smell intense. More than three *kittens* on the other hand, is never too many, because they're so gosh darn cute! And they have that kitten smell about them, aka New Cat Smell, that's almost enchanting. Mmm, kittens. | ||
| Xaos August 1, 2005 09:29 AM PDT the "crazy cat lady" is a fascinating modern archetype. why are these women overwhelmed, in their winter years, with a desire to gather to them so many small creatures? despite, in most cases, the ability to care properly for them. it's like a brooding instinct gone haywire. some primal switch in the female brain gets flipped. it's strange and interesting and sad. i feel horrible about the cats who will have to be put down. 300 cats having to die because an insane woman, effectively, trapped them in her house, is pretty f***ed up. | ||
